Golfer Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica are expecting the couple’s first child – and it’s a girl.
According to the golf Channel, Erica is due to give birth in a matter of days.
Rory McIlroy has admitted in recent weeks that he has had trouble maintaining his focus on the task at hand while inside the ropes.

“We’re about to be parents very soon, so we’re obviously super excited,” Rory said after the third round of the BMW Championship. “We’ve been sharing the news with friends and family, obviously, but I didn’t think that it was something that I really particularly needed to share out here. It’s a private matter, but we’re really excited and can’t wait for her to get here.”
He’s waiting for the phone call and is prepared to leave the BMW Championship should the baby arrive.
