Medics treated patients in ambulances outside Antrim Area Hospital yesterday, as it struggled with the pressure due to the current COVID-19 situation.
Ambulances were pictured queued outside the emergency department.
And it was the same picture at many of Northern Ireland’s hospitals.
Seventeen ambulances were parked outside Antrim at around 5pm, however, only four were still there by 9pm.
The situation has since improved this morning (Wednesday).
Meanwhile, politicians have been urged to rethink relaxing COVID rules this Christmas.
