Breaking new ground in K-pop, XLOV — the genre’s first genderless group, made up of Umuti, Louie, Hyun, and Haru — held a showcase on November 5th in Seoul, celebrating the release of their highly anticipated debut mini-album, UXLXVE (Unlove).
Tickets for their European concerts — including stops in Germany and Poland — sold out in an astonishing three seconds, and their upcoming European tour in February next year is also selling out rapidly.
At the event, XLOV performed the title track “Rizz”, the sub-title song “Biii:-P”, and B-sides “Drip Drip” and “Kiss and Say Goodbye” for the first time. They also unveiled “Scent” and “Dirty Baby” via From, while a live-stream allowed fans worldwide to join in, igniting passionate responses from their growing global fandom.
The album UXLXVE carries a message of individuality and self-worth — that every being is irreplaceable and one-of-a-kind simply by existing. The group’s signature theme of freedom and identity without boundaries shines through the project’s diverse mix of sounds and emotions, blending multiple genres to reflect life’s ever-shifting moods.
Lead track “Rizz” channels youthful energy through hip-hop and R&B beats built on 808 trap sounds. Member Umuti, who penned the lyrics, poses poetic questions about coexistence, beauty, and impermanence — themes expressed through raw, sensual, and captivating contrasts that showcase XLOV’s unique artistic edge.
To mark their comeback, XLOV also launched a special event for their fandom EVOL, broadcasting the Rizz music video across massive billboards in Gangnam and Gangbuk.
“It was a real-time experience fans could share together,” said Lee Heon-seung, CEO of My Star Goods Service Company A, the event’s planner. “We’ll continue creating new ways for artists and fans to connect more closely.”
With UXLXVE now officially released, XLOV are set to begin full-scale comeback promotions — and redefine the limits of K-pop identity and expression.
