A 17-year-old youth has been stabbed in the back and arm in an altercation with a man in west Belfast.
The incident happened at the junction of Bell Steel Road and Glenwood Court at around 2am this morning (Saturday).
The youth was treated in hospital following the incident. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The man involved is around 40 years old, of heavy build, with gelled down blond hair. He was wearing white Lacoste trainers, grey shorts and a grey and navy coloured Mackenzie polo shirt.
Inspector McCullough has appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which could assist with police enquiries to contact officers at Woodbourne on 101.
