Hurricane Florence is having a significant impact upon the eastern coast of the USA, having reached Topsail Beach in NC.
It has knocked out power to more than 300,000 customers in the state, according to the North Carolina Department of Emergency Management.
Surfers have ignored warnings to evacuate the area.
