A bar shooting in Thousand Oaks, California, has left 12 dead, including a sheriff’s sergeant, police say.
The incident occurred at the Borderline Bar and Grill at about 11:20pm local time.
A college country music night was in progress. Hundreds of people were inside the Borderline Bar and Grill and shots were still being fired when police arrived.
Footage broadcast on local media showed injured people being taken from the scene.
The suspect is believed to have been wearing dark clothing.
