A film maker whose body was found in a shallow grave in her garden in south-west London had been strangled, police say.
Scotland Yard has launched a murder inquiry after the body of 34-year-old French national Laureline Garcia-Bertaux was discovered in Richmond upon Thames.
She had been reported missing from work.
A post-mortem carried out on Saturday found the cause of death to be ‘consistent with compression of the neck’.
Detectives are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry.
They are asking anyone who may have seen or spoken to or communicated with Laureline between March 2 and March 6, when her body was found, to get in touch.
Detective Chief Inspector Simon Harding said she may have been in touch with friends via phone calls, texts messages, WhatsApp or any other social media platform.
