Harry and Meghan have announced the birth of their second child – a daughter named Lilibet Diana, after the Queen and the late Princess of Wales.
The child is called Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40am local time at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California. Lili is reported to have weighed 7lbs 11 oz. and both mother and child are well.
“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet,” the statement said. “Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honour her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.”
