Holy cow! Big Knickers has been spared from the abattoir because he’s enormous

Knickers the cow has made a lot of people smile as he’s been spared from the abattoir and the dinner table thanks to his enormity.

Weighing 1.4 tonnes, the seven-year-old Holstein Friesian is unofficially Australia’s biggest steer.

Standing 6ft 4 tall, he’s head and shoulders above the rest.

The herd he lives with on a Western Australia farm follows him around.

Farm owner Geoff Pearson says, “They all look up to him … wherever, whenever he moves, they move…he’s the leader of the pack.”

He was too big to go into the export plant’s chain,” Geoff told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

“We have a high turnover of cattle, and he was lucky enough to stay behind.”
