Home Bargains will close once again on Boxing Day and staff will receive two weeks’ extra pay as a thank you for their hard work over the challenging year.
It’s the third year in a row that the discount chain has closed on December 26.
Earlier this year, Home Bargains announced that any worker who had to self-isolate due to COVID-19 would receive up to two weeks’ salary.
Home Bargains now wants to ensure all staff receive that bonus, regardless of whether they have self-isolated.
Any employee joining Home Bargains before March 22 who hasn’t needed to self-isolate over the past seven months, will receive the extra pay this month.
