Police in Falmouth, Cornwall, are hunting a teenager who threw a dog off a cliff and into the sea.
A social media video which was uploaded, shows a black and white dog being thrown into the air by a laughing teenager before it yelps, then hits the sea below. The dog is seen swimming to the surface but the video ends before viewers learn its fate.
The video has outraged animal lovers and there are calls for the culprit to be brought to justice.
Police later confirmed that the dog was not hurt and that an investigation into the incident has been launched.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police are investigating a report of concern for the welfare of an animal in Falmouth on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 1.”
