Three masked men kicked their way into a flat on Shore Crescent in North Belfast and assaulted a man with a knife.
The culprits fled with a sum of cash.
Detectives are investigating the aggravated burglary which occurred at around 2am this morning (Sunday, December 23).
The man was alone in the flat at the time of the incident.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area this morning and who may have noticed the three men or any vehicles. Detectives can be contacted at Musgrave CID by calling 101, quoting reference 229 23/12/18,” said Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan.
