Brussel sprouts make a grand entrance once a year.
Commonly associated with Christmas, they are widely available in supermarkets throughout the festive season.
Some love them, others hate them, and one woman even fooled her dad into eating Brussel sprouts that he thought were Ferrero Rocher chocolates.
This was the second time in two years that Judy Brown had tricked her father and she boasted about it on Twitter.
Other people revealed little known facts on social media about Brussel sprouts….enjoy…..
I am still chuckling. I will all day long. I know his retribution will be swift and terrible, but no Christmas gift could be greater than this: seeing my Dad, despite his efforts to avoid it, unwittingly eat a raw sprout. Merry Christmas, one and all. pic.twitter.com/RYV6pvYqbe

Once an unloved member of the vegetable family, the Brussel sprouts has become a favorite for many. Try them sauteed with bacon, raisins and pistachios. Available in pint and quart size this weekend at our shop at the #OceanPinesMD market. #FruitandVegetables #LocalGreengrocer pic.twitter.com/bk25ZKqPrO
