Everyone’s favourite streaming service Netflix has given its five-year-old logo animation an upgrade.
The animation appears in front of original productions with many complimenting the new colour extravaganza.
The animation features the same sound, but the new logo is more visually engaging. The animation, called an ‘ident’ in designer lingo, explodes the popular N into a spectrum of thin cinematic style vertical columns.
Here’s a visual of the new Netflix ident:
Netflix has had the same logo animation for almost five years!!

give your graphic designer a raise this is so beauthfully made; smooth transition, perfectly synced with sound and the message the amount of strips and colors send is uplifting and encouraging us to be more open to diversity of any kind.
thank you for choosing this!

Sexy…see the new Netflix intro animation. Very cinamatic but with a modern and disruptive flair. Love it. https://t.co/PBTEjbpNp9

But some aren’t so happy….
Is it wrong that I hate this new animation??? I liked the simplicity from before…now it gives me a headache ??♀️ Having epilepsy and colored transitions don’t mix but ok https://t.co/S4RRHH8gf5
