Two men armed with a blade escaped with a sum of money from a business in Dungannon last night (Wednesday, March 6).
The incident happened at Scotch Street just before 8pm.
Detectives are appealing for information following the armed robbery.
Detective Inspector Handley said it was reported that two men entered the premises armed with what was described as a blade and demanded money.
“One of the men jumped across the counter and took a sum of money from the tills before making off from the scene towards the Beech Valley area. Two members of staff and two other males were inside the premises at the time of the incident, but there were no reports of any injuries,” said Detective Inspector Handley.
Enquiries are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1224 6/3/19.
