The Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown will only host weddings and private functions ahead of a full entertainment license renewal in October.
The decision was taken at Mid Ulster District Council’s Environment Committee on Tuesday evening.
Three teenagers lost their lives in a crush outside the venue which was putting on a St Patrick’s night event.
Those who died were Connor Currie (16), Lauren Bullock (17) and Morgan Barnard (17).
Following the tragedy, the council’s committee met to review the premises’ entertainment license.
At the meeting, the hotel agreed to provide the committee with health and safety risk assessments and associated documentation.

And in the interim period, the hotel has proposed to restrict its entertainment activity to weddings and private functions only.
A statement this evening pointed out that the hotel will provide Mid-Ulster District Council with two months’ notice of any proposed variation of this position.
The committee agreed to defer considerations until October when the licence is due for renewal.
The committee, however, reserves the right to review the entertainment licence at any stage prior to renewal.
