Former England footballer David Beckham has been banned from driving for six months after pleading guilty to using his mobile phone behind the wheel in November last year.
The 43-year-old previously pleaded guilty to using the device while driving his Bentley in Great Portland Street, London, after being spotted by a member of the public on November 21.
He also had his licence endorsed with six points to add to the six previously implemented for speeding.
A prosecuting lawyer said Beckham was photographed while he drove in slow moving traffic while holding a mobile.
Beckham’s lawyer said the footballer has ‘no recollection of the day in question or this particular incident.’
Beckham was also fined £750, ordered to pay £100 costs and a £75 surcharge within seven days.
