Tayto Park Ireland will be holding a special Autism Awareness Day on Sunday (May 12).
An autism-friendly environment will be created with the intention of enabling parents of children with autism and their families to enjoy the attractions at Tayto Park.
The park will make a number of changes to ensure an autism friendly environment, including turning off the hand dryers and music and keeping the queues for attractions to a minimum.
In preparation, Tayto Park has created ‘social stories‘ which will explain all the attractions open on the day and help children with autism better understand the park.
