Drunk young people has to be taken home by police last night after they began to congregate at The Diamond in Rathcoole and at Jordanstown
Alcohol was seized from the youths and police are once again appealing to parents to be aware of where their children are at all times.
Last night officers from Newtownabbey Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out anti-social behaviour patrols in response to community concerns.
They moved a large number of youths on at The Diamond, Rathcoole and at Jordanstown. Alcohol was found, seized and disposed of. They took a number of youths home who were too intoxicated to be left alone.
“We continue to try our best to keep your kids safe, however the onus is on you, the parent/guardian to know where your kids are.
“We don’t like seeing intoxicated youths lying in their own vomit and urine, abandoned by their so called ‘mates.’ Please know where your child is to keep them safe,” said a police spokesperson.
