A fairground style helter skelter has been built inside a cathedral in Norwich to give visitors a bird’s eye view of the building.
The 55ft vintage installation allows people to get a better view of the medieval roof.
The Very Reverend Jane Hedges, Dean of Norwich Cathedral, said the installation was certainly ‘not a gimmick.’
However some people are not so keen with the new installation which is a contrast to the serenity and medieval appeal of the cathedral.
Wow.
It is here.
And it is big! Very BIG.

Opens this #afternoon, Thursday 8th August 2019.

When I visited Norwich Cathedral yesterday I didn't expect to find a cat, Budge, taking a nap in the stalls and a great big helter skelter in the nave! Wonder if Budge has had a go down the slide! pic.twitter.com/IZschUg0Zk
