The Belfast Mela returns to Botanic Gardens on Sunday 25 August from noon for its biggest festival ever. There will be food, drinks and live music.
It’s an event which is popular with families who enjoy celebrating and discovering other cultures.
The Mela transforms the Botanic Gardens into a global garden filled with the sounds and aromas of nations around the world. Music, dance, arts and culture come together to create a good natured atmosphere.

The inaugural Moira Food and Drink Festival is a new four day event.
The festival kicks off in Moira village on the evening of Thursday 15 August finishing up on Sunday 18 August.
The highlight on the Friday will be a family-friendly street party with street theatre, a children’s disco and live music from 6pm-9pm.
For those looking for a challenge, then the family orienteering treasure hunt in Moira Demesne is a must. There are also cooking masterclasses hosted by Chef Chris McGowan and there will be a Traditional jam-making masterclass with Brambleberry Jams in one of Moira’s restored listed homes.

To the Grand Opera House and Angela’s Ashes is on from 3 to 7 September. The show debuted in Belfast in 2017, and now it returns in this major musical adaptation of Frank McCourt’s memoir.
The story is brought to life in this telling of a childhood in Limerick and beyond, featuring songs and a sense of humour.
As his parents struggle to provide for him and his brothers in 1940s Ireland, we follow young Frank’s escapades and experiences in a Dickensian landscape peopled by a drunken father, a helpless mother, priests, schoolmasters and money-lenders culminating in his escape to a new life in America.

The Ould Lammas Fair is coming up and every year thousands of people flock to Ballycastle for Ireland’s oldest fair. Northern Ireland’s Biggest airshow returns in 2019 – the Portrush Airwaves show and it’s happening from August 31 until September 1.
It’s organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, with support from Tourism NI, and it’s a flagship event in the Northern Ireland calendar.
There will be aerial aerobatics and appearances from Royal Air Force aircrafts.

The Shoreline Festival at Jordanstown’s Loughshore Park will be held on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 August. There is family fun and a Big Wheel. A fireworks display will follow the show at 10pm on the Saturday evening.
