A pet cat has been shot and killed near Kilkeel in a shocking incident of animal cruelty.
The incident happened in the vicinity of the Carrigenagh Road sometime between 7pm on Sunday (22 September) and 7am this morning (Monday).
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
“Did you notice anything suspicious? Do you have any CCTV or dash cam footage?” said a police spokesperson.
