With Northern Ireland playing the Netherlands, a fan walk in South Belfast and the Christmas lights switch-on in the city centre later today (Saturday), motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance.
Police say due to the switch-on, traffic diversions will be in operation in and around City Hall from 2pm-11pm. There is an exception for Translink which will operate some services until 5pm.
There will be a complete closure to all traffic at 5pm.
Affected roads are:

• Donegall Square North
• Donegall Square West
• Chichester Street
• Donegall Place
• Upper Arthur Street

Meanwhile, in South Belfast, delays can be expected around the Lisburn Road and the Tates Avenue/Boucher Road areas between 5pm and 8pm and then again between 9pm and 10:30pm.
The Netherlands supporters will be holding a fan walk, which will leave the Dublin Road at approximately 6:15pm, travelling to the National Stadium at Windsor Park along Shaftesbury Square, Donegall Road, Donegall Avenue and into the stadium for 7pm.
No waiting cones will be placed near the venue for public safety and to minimise traffic disruption and allow emergency vehicle access.

Traffic restrictions will also be in place for a limited time after the match due to the expected volume of supporters leaving the ground.
