Special schools in Belfast are to close from Monday due to fears over the spread of coronavirus.
Today, Principal’s of Belfast’s Special Schools met to discuss whether to remain open. Here’s their statement ⬇️

A number of other schools in Northern Ireland have decided to close their doors.
The Education Authority said it was aware of ‘inaccurate information circulating online about school closures.’
Any official notification in relation to school closures will be sent directly to school from the Department of Education, it said.
For avoidance of doubt and to provide clarity, despite some ill informed rumours, there are no plan to close schools with effect from Wednesday, and when general closures are needed to be brought in sufficient notice will be given
