The airline has sealed a deal with union Unite that will see cabin crew take a two-month leave as a result of the spread of the coronavirus.
The airline said it had made the decision due to the ‘unprecedented travel restrictions’ imposed by governments around the world.
EasyJet has already cancelled most flights but had organised flights to repatriate British people stranded abroad.
The cabin crew will be furloughed, with staff receiving 80 per cent of their wage from 1 April through the government’s scheme.
For customers on cancelled flights, please remember that you do not have to contact us prior to your original flight date.
Please be assured that your entitlements in case of cancelled flights are available for up to a year after your flight was originally due to depart. (1/2)
