A 43-year-old man has been arrested after bins were set on fire in Holywood.
He was arrested on suspicion of arson with endangering life, and arson, and is currently in police custody assisting with their enquiries.
According to police, the bins were set on fire in Church Green and Church View between 3.30am and 4am on Thursday (8 April).
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service extinguished the fires.
Detective Constable Hughes said: “We would appeal to anyone with any information to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 166 08/04/21. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
