Portrush is the best place in Northern Ireland and second in the UK for remote workers in a survey.
With 53/70 scored in the survey, it’s Portrush which takes the top spot. The village scored highly for broadband speed, low house prices, train station and proximity to nearest major towns and cities, as well as having parks, pubs, restaurants and Tripadvisor attractions in the area.
Hollands Country Clothing wanted to find out which villages were the best for remote workers and which places offered the best experience for escaping city workers? Taking a list of places with populations under 10k, Hollands Country Clothing scored them on a series of liveability factors – broadband speed, low house prices, distance to rail transport cities and National Parks, as well as number of pubs and restaurants, and Tripadvisor attractions – out of a total score of 70.
The data reveals which places offer a quieter life and the best escape for remote workers across the UK. And with 54/70, it’s Balloch at Loch Lomond which takes the top spot as the UK’s best village for remote workers.
Castlewellan is second with 48 Whitehead is third in Northern Ireland with 44.
