Man sustains head injury after being assaulted by gang in Glengormley

A man was taken to hospital with a head injury following an assault in Glengormley, Newtownabbey in the early hours of Saturday (July 1).

The man was reportedly assaulted at around 4am by six men in Glenvarna Drive, one of whom was armed with a baseball bat.

Detective Sergeant McDowell said the man was taken to hospital.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone with information, including dash cam, CCTV or other footage, to contact us on 101 quoting reference 280 of 1/7/23.”
