A man attempted to steal car keys from an off licence customer before assaulting her in west Belfast.
The incident happened on Wednesday, June 13 at around 8.10pm on the Suffolk Road.
The man then tried to get into her vehicle, but she managed to drive off.
Police are aware of at least two witnesses to the incident and they’re appealing for them to get in touch.
They say witnesses are under no obligation to make a statement but police would appreciate people coming forward.
The suspect is believed to be around 5’7″, of thin build, with a beard and light brown hair that is short on the side and long on top, swept back.
Police believe he may be well known in the area.
