Further traffic advice has been issued to concert goers attending tonight’s Belsonic gig featuring The Script.
Road users are once again advised to anticipate traffic delays in south Belfast.
Traffic restrictions will be in place. Cones will be placed near the venue to ensure emergency vehicle access.
Motorists must comply with these restrictions.
Private coaches travelling to the event will be allowed to park as directed along the embankment and should approach the venue from the Ormeau Road.
Patrons are advised to park in the city centre and either walk to the concert, or use the special Translink Metro and rails services – for more information visit www.translink.co.uk
There will NOT be any ‘drop off’ points around the event site.‘Drop offs’ and ‘pick ups’ should be arranged at locations well away from the event site.
Last year The Script announced that its fifth album would be called ‘Freedom Child’. The album was put up for pre-order that same day. It contains 14 tracks and was released on 1 September 2017.
Before the album’s foray into the public domain, two singles were released to further promote the album. On 25 August 2017, ‘Written in the Scars’ was released as the first promotional single off the album.
Upon release, the album received mixed to negative reviews, but still managed ease up the charts. The album hit number one in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The tour has been ongoing since September 2017 and is expected to wrap up this month.
On 17 March, at a concert in Brussels, the band bought the whole audience a drink to mark St Patrick’s Day.
