Motorists are facing delays as traffic remains heavy on both motorways.
The M2 south bound is closed at the Fortwilliam roundabout and traffic is almost at a standstill.
The M5 south bound, at the Hazelbank roundabout, is also closed. Belfast-bound traffic should use the Shore Road and Antrim Road.
Please avoid the M2 if, possible.
Drivers travelling east, towards Bangor, will be able the access the M3 from York Street.
