Happy Birthday Prince George who is five today!
And to mark this special miletone, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are have released a new photo which was taken in the garden of Clarence House by Matt Porteous, after the christening of Prince Louis on July 9.
Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born at the maternity unit of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington at 4.24pm on July 22, 2013. He weighed 8lbs 6oz.
But how will the young George be celebrating his birthday?
But according to some publications, his party may be held in the warmer climes of the Caribbean, as the Duke and Duchess are believed to have taken their children on a summer holiday to Mustique.
This time last year, just after his fourth birthday George started his first day at school accompanied by his father, but without Kate who was experiencing hyperemesis as she was pregnant with his brother Prince Louis.
George was last seen at the christening of Louis at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace and in official photographs celebrating the baptism.

The photographer, Matt Porteous, took pictures for William and Kate at the christening of Louis. A great-grandson of the Queen, he is third in line to the throne.
George recently completed his first school year at Thomas’s Battersea in south London, and he played a sheep in the nativity play.
Taking after his father, he love helicopters and flying.
And to mark his fifth birthday, a new £5 coin has been issued by the Royal Mint, showing St George and the Dragon on its reverse.
