Young people have been reportedly riding scramblers without helmets in Antrim.
This afternoon police seized a scrambler that was being used without insurance in the Greystone area.
They were alerted by concerned residents.
Police say they have the power to deal with people who use their vehicles in such a manner that is likely to cause alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public, or who use the vehicle on a road or public place without insurance.
“Both can result in prosecution and disposal of the vehicle. Not to mention, it can also be a danger to the rider themselves and others.
“If you have children in the Greystone area of Antrim, please know where they are and what they are doing at all times. Are your children out riding scramblers?” said a spokesperson.
