Residents in North Devon in England woke up this week to find a piece of artwork depicting a bicycle on a hill had taken on a phallic shape.
The bicycle made out of cardboard had been rearranged to make it look like a huge penis. The image had been constructed on a hill in the town of Ilfracombe, in honour of the cyclists on the Tour of Britain who were passing through.
The cheeky pranksters had hoped the image would be picked up by a helicopter and televised around the world – however, bad weather scuppered their plans.
But the image has now made its way onto social media. People took to Twitter to poke fun at the image towering over the town.
Apparently, it’s not the first time the hill has been used for elaborate displays of artwork. A giant Valentine message, reading ‘I love U Leah’ had been created earlier this year.
