A post mortem will take place tomorrow after the death of a baby in Brompton Park, north Belfast, last night (Tuesday 27 July).
The 29-year-old woman remains under arrest.
Detective Chief Inspector Millar from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team said: “Our investigation into last night’s tragic events is progressing and I am keen to thank the local community for their ongoing support.
“A post mortem is expected to take place tomorrow (Thursday 29 July).
“While we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this, I would reiterate our ask for anyone with information to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1787 of 27/07/21.”
