Bangor man dies two weeks after collision

A man has died of his injuries following a two-vehicle collision which happened last month on the Green Road, Conlig.

He was 40-year-old Kenny Wharton who was originally from the Bangor area.


Police are keen to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The incident happened shortly before 7:30pm on Sunday 24 May.

A grey Vauxhall Insignia and a silver Vauxhall Zafira were involved in the crash at the junction of Rowanvale and Six Road Ends.

Mr Wharton was taken to hospital, but sadly lost his life yesterday (Thursday 4 June).

Inspector Moore added: “Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident. We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who captured the collision on their dash-cam, to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1449 24/05/20.”
