A customer was threatened by a man with a pair of scissors during an armed robbery at commercial premises on the Woodstock Road in east Belfast yesterday evening (Saturday 16 February).
The man made off with a sum of cash from the till. He is described as being aged in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5ft 8” tall and of slim build. He was wearing a blue hooded top and grey track bottoms and had a black scarf covering his face.
The suspect was reported to have been in the company of a pregnant woman earlier in the evening.
She is described as being approximately 5’4” tall with blonde hair tied back. She was wearing a cream coloured coat and pink scarf.
The armed robbery occurred at around 8.20pm.
Detective Sergeant McCallum is appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw a man matching the description of the suspect, or anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact detectives in Musgrave on 101, quoting reference number 1296 16/02/19.
