Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram were out of service for almost six hours last night.
According to Facebook, an internal technical issue was to blame.
This reportedly affected Facebook’s services as well as employees’ email systems.
Service was restored around 10pm
Facebook has said there was ‘no evidence that user data was compromised.’
In a light-hearted move, Twitter welcomed ‘almost everyone’ to its platform which set off a humorous exchange with other corporations.
