The manager of a Greek restaurant in Crete has been praised after potentially saving the life of a British tourist who began choking on food while dining.
CCTV footage of the Heimlich manoeuvre has been shared to inform and educate the public about this life-saving technique.
The diner is seen jumping up and clutching his chest, then he wanders around the restaurant. The manager is seen rushing over to help and he successfully dislodges the food from his windpipe.
The manager has been praised by locals, tourists and the media for intervening and saving a life.
