Greggs is beefing up its meat-free offerings with the introduction of the steak bake.
The new product is in time for Veganuary, with thousands having signed up to remain meat-free during the month of January.

Greggs’ move follows Pizza Hut on the mainland which has added a vegan Pepperphoni pizza to its range. It’s not known if the pizza will be introduced to Northern Ireland.

KFC too has introduced a vegan burger.
The chicken fillet will be replaced by a Quorn fillet, which is coated in signature herbs and spices. It’s served up with vegan mayonnaise and iceberg lettuce, and set inside a soft-glazed bap.

And Subway will have sandwich enthusiasts chomping on the meatless marinara sub.
