A man who was highly distressed poured petrol on himself before being restrained in Dungannon.
The incident happened on Sunday morning at around 8:30am at Newell Road.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service personnel arrived within minutes to deal with the situation.
The man was restrained and medical assessments and treatment was carried out.
“We would like to thank those members of the public and staff at Newell Stores for all your help during this incident,” said a police spokesperson.
