A 27-year-old man has been arrested following an aggravated burglary in south Belfast.
Two people returned to their property in Wolseley Street on Monday evening at around 7.30pm to find a man inside armed with a knife.
The suspect then fled the scene, dropping the knife.
Police say car keys, a wallet and an Amazon Echo device were taken during the incident.
A short time later a man matching this the description was seen by police in the Botanic Avenue area heading in the direction of Mount Charles.
The man proceeded to smash a glass bottle on the police vehicle before making off. He was located in the Gasworks area on the roof of a building where he was arrested, say police.
