A 32-year-old man was arrested and a number of electronic devices seized from a property in the Maghaberry area this evening (Tuesday 11 August).
Officers carried out a search of a house in the area under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act.
Items were removed for further forensic examination.
Officers were assisted by colleagues from the Cyber Crime Department in relation to the investigation.
The man was arrested on suspicion of copyright and fraud offences. He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Cargin said the policing operation targeted the illegal streaming of media services.
“Although users may think this is a victimless crime, this large scale operation has a direct impact on businesses and consumers,” he added.
