A man who was outside his south Belfast home had his bag stolen by a man who approached him on a bicycle armed with a suspected handgun.
Detectives in South Belfast are appealing for information after the report of the armed robbery at Dunluce Avenue this morning around 8:25am.
The man was left badly shaken as a result of the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
The assailant is believed to have been wearing a dark coloured hooded top and he was riding a dark pushbike.
Detective Sergeant McCambridge said: “We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw anything suspicious to contact Detectives on 101. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
