A man in his 30s escaped injury in Londonderry after a number of masked men armed with iron bars forced their way into the property.
Windows were smashed and substantial damage was caused to the house at Ballymagowan Avenue.
Detectives are investigating the aggravated burglary which happened last night (Tuesday 1 September) at around 10pm.
The man who is in his 30s was able to escape uninjured.
The suspects are believed to have fled in the direction of Circular Road.
