A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was found with head and facial injuries at a property in the Shore Crescent area of Belfast on Sunday afternoon.
Inspector Thomas Fairfield said police were called to a flat in the area shortly before 4pm following reports of an unconscious man at the address.
Officers found the 26-year-old unresponsive. He was taken to hospital where his condition today is described as serious.
Inspector Fairfield said police are working to establish how the man sustained these injuries.
He said police would like to hear from anyone who has information that could assist them.
