A woman was approached by a man who tried to snatch her handbag in Ballymena yesterday afternoon (Thursday, October 25).
The woman was walking along Church Street at around 2pm when the incident occurred.
Police in Ballymena are investigating and they’re appealing for information and witnesses.
A struggled ensued and the suspect ran off empty-handed.
He is described as being 5ft 9’’ tall and of slim build. He was reported to have been wearing a grey-coloured tracksuit with the hood pulled up.
Constable Chris Glasgow is appealing to anyone who was on Church Street around this time yesterday and saw what happened, or anyone who has information they believe may assist the investigation to get in touch on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 732 of 25/10/18.
