A Mandarin duck, native to East Asia, has been spotted in Central Park in New York.
The duck was captured on video which was then posted on social media.
These ducks are commonly found in China and Japan, not the United States.

Manhattan Bird Alert, a Twitter account used to record sightings across the city has posted images of the duck.
The duck disappeared for two weeks, then returned and was seen near West 79th Street.
It has since come to light that the duck has not originated from any of New York’s four major zoos run by the Wildlife Conservation Society.
The Mandarin duck, with its orange wings and black-white rump, has been drawing visitors to the pond.
According to local media, park officials have no intention of capturing the duck. They will apparently take action only if the duck appears injured.
