Meghan Markle has made a formal complaint to ITV following Piers Morgan’s comments about mental health, it has been reported.
ITV announced on Tuesday that Piers Morgan would leave Good Morning Britain, after he expressed doubt that Meghan had suicidal thoughts.
“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain,” ITV said in a statement on Tuesday. “ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
Meghan’s suicidal thoughts and the alleged comments about skin colour were just some of the revelations during her televised interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The royal family said in a statement that the issues raised about race are ‘concerning’ and would be addressed by the family privately.
