The documentary on Madeleine McCann which has been released by Netflix is reportedly to show a never before seen photo of the child.
According to the Daily Mail, the picture which shows a young girl in a pink dress and white hat is to be shown for the first time. The photo allegedly shows Madeleine playing at the hotel’s children’s club in Praia de Luz.
The documentary is believed to feature 40 experts and key figures linked to the case.
Netflix commissioned the series, The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann, in 2017, but its release was delayed due to key people involved in the investigation not wanting to appear on camera. Madeleine vanished from her hotel in the resort of Praia da Luz in Portugal in May 2007, while on holiday with her family.
Parents of Madeleine, Kate and Gerry have refused to take part in the documentary – neither will the friends who were in Portugal with them when Madeleine vanished, dubbed ‘The Tapas 7.’
In a statement last week the McCanns said the Netflix film could ‘potentially hinder’ the ongoing police investigation.
